Abstract

This article analyzes the latest film by Argentine filmmaker Albertina Carri, The Daughters of Fire, based on the notions of identity, nomadic culture, deterritorialization, overflow, drift, optical unconscious, biopolitics and postpornography. Following some poetic reminiscences, throughout the three parts that make up the article, questions, reflections and interpretation hypotheses are drawn that question the nation state as guarantor of identity and belonging, and where a community of enjoying bodies enables new sexual imaginary
