Abstract

Baudelaire has inspired many artists from different disciplines, the first cinema was not going to be the exception. An example is the work of Germaine Dulac, a French director and theoretician who occupies a remarkable place in the pantheon of surrealist artists, with his medium length film L'invitation au voyage that illustrates in a very free way the homonymous poetry included in Les fleurs du mal.
